On Thursday, April 10th, the 5th and 6th grade children visited the Royal Glass Factory in La Granja de San Ildefonso (Segovia).
At the factory, they explained how glass was made in the past, how glass production began, and what they used to make it. They then showed us the tools and machines they used before and now, the sand they use, and gave us several live performances, such as a making a glass, a rose, and so on. We also saw what they used to polish the glass.
After lunch, we visited the gardens of La Granja Palace, where the teachers showed us the vegetation and the monuments and fountains in these beautiful gardens.
