VISIT TO THE FARM SCHOOL

By Esther and her students (Infant class in Santiuste)
The Early Childhood Education students spent a morning of great learning in a natural setting.
Last May, the 3, 4, and 5-year-old students visited the La Granja de San Ildefonso’s farm school. Throughout the morning, we learned about the animals that live there (pigs, goats, chickens, donkeys, etc.), fed them, and made crafts related to rural tasks: clay, bread, and natural air fresheners.
This type of activity brings students closer to the reality of the primary sector, helping them better understand the origin of the products we consume, as well as learn about the work done by farmers and ranchers.
Certainly, these types of activities for Early Childhood Education students are truly enriching on a personal and academic level.
We will definitely go back!
